It is fundamental for the development and success of our association to have dynamic, passionate and responsible staff members, as they provide support for the whole structure, both casual and competitive.
Below you may find our current openings for staff position:

Communication and Public Relations Manager

– To promote our Association, someone with the ability to reach the companies and brands is essential, in order to get new sponsorship deals or mutual support. This function represents this idea accurately and that is why it lies within the Marketing Department (the manager will answer directly to the correspondent admin).

Job description

– Approach and communicate with potential partners and/or sponsors;

– Issue press emails, to introduce our association and the services we provide, in an original and professional way;

– Find new and original ways (such as regular mail or appealing events) to get our Association to be known by new brands or companies;

– Assist in organizing the database of sponsors and partners (potentially interested parties included);

Requirements

– Be proactive, persistent, reliable and inquisitive;

– Create new advertise patterns or search for alternative ways to promote the Association;

– Participate regularly in the Association’s activity and events;

– Decent oral and written expertises;

– Proper understanding of both english and portuguese languages;

– Attend our staff meetings regularly and be diligent about your tasks;

Remuneration

– Presently, all jobs within Grow uP Gaming Association consist of volunteer work (no monetary remuneration is involved).

– During the contract period, you will be given Associate status;

– You will be rewarded with a volunteer certificate at the end of your contract;

(All staff related work within the Association requires a 6 month contract, according to the volunteer’s availability).

External information manager

– Regarding the outside promotion of the Association, the existence of an informative connection between the association and other communication platforms is fundamental.

This function is intimately connected to the News Department, although it’s inserted in the Marketing department (the manager will answer directly to the correspondent admin).

Job description

– Review and issue Grow uP Gaming related content to newspapers, online platforms and magazines, whom can share that information with the society in general, not restricting it only to our website;

– Contact with newspapers, magazines, online portals or platforms, in order to obtain some sort of content sharing deal;

– Filing contacts from newspapers, magazines, online portals or platforms which already have a deal with us (and from the entities that we still need to make contact with);

 

Requirements

– Be proactive, persistent, reliable and inquisitive;

– Create new advertise patterns or search for alternative ways to promote the Association;

– Participate regularly in the Association’s activity and events;

– Decent oral and written expertises;

– Proper understanding of both english and portuguese languages;

Marketing Assistant

– In order to promote our Association and obtain both partner and sponsorships, it is crucial getting in touch with companies and brands that might be interested in our project, highlighting the benefits of joining us and reaching advantageous agreements for both parties.

This function is intimately connected to the Marketing Department (the assistant will answer directly to the correspondent admin).

Job description

– Make contact with partners and sponsors;

– Issue the necessary documents to request sponsorships;

– Communicate with potential sponsors and partners, while also performing the respective contracts for the Association;

– Manage the marketing section’s E-Mail;

– Organize and update our database, regarding sponsors and partners (potential collaborators too);

– Verify if the contracts with partners and sponsors are respected, encouraging everyone involved to fulfil that purpose (with the assistance of the responsible admin);

– Stimulate both sponsors and partners’ campaigns, recurring to the design team and the social media managers (among other ressources).  

Requirements

– Be proactive, persistent, reliable and inquisitive;

– Create new advertise patterns or search for alternative ways to promote the Association;

– Participate regularly in the Association’s activity and events;

– Decent oral and written expertises;

– Proper understanding of both english and portuguese languages;

– Attend our staff meetings regularly and be diligent about your tasks;

– Willingness to arrange or attend meetings with (potential) sponsors or partners;

– Preferential: Experience in Marketing or commercial sectors.

Video Content Creator

– We’re looking for someone that is able to create video content in an appealing and imaginative way. This function is inserted in the Streaming Department and Grow uP TV (being the producer accountable to the correspondent admin).

Job Description:

– Making of Teasers, Intros and Movies regarding the Association and their events, in a professional and attractive fashion for the general community;

– Making of advertising videos for streams (of other partner’s campaigns and for the promotion of the Association itself);

– Creativity applied to the making of videos, using members of the Association that are willing to participate in them as a resource;

– Answering successfully to the needs and opportunities that might come up while making the videos;

 

Requirements:

– Pro-active personality, persistency, responsibility and able to research;

– Assiduous in the activities and events of the Association;

– Good creative mind and ability with video-making platforms;

– Good knowledge of both Portuguese and English;

– Punctuality and regular presence in the reunions and activities that the applicant is complying to;

– Able to work as a team;

– Presenting previous work regarding the making of videos, so we are able to analyse and consider the application.

Remuneration

– For the time being, all jobs inside the Grow uP Gaming Association are volunteer work, granting no type of income.

– During the contract period, an Associate status will be given to the volunteer.

– A Volunteer Certificate will be provided when the contract period comes to a term.

Graphic Designer

– Grow uP Gaming’s image is something of the utmost importance to us and it is as relevant as having capable people in this area, in order to fulfil this role. This function is inserted in the Design Department (the designer will answer directly to the correspondent admin).

 

Job description

– Execute the tasks that are assigned by the coordinator;

– Deliver the assigned work within the deadline, established between you and the coordinator;

– Weekly meetings with the Design team and your coordinator, to assign new tasks and obtain feedback on the previous work, to check if it needs improvement (further meetings with the coordinator may be required).

Requirements

– Higher than basic level of knowledge in Design;

– Must have an understanding of the specific design style of the uP brand and know how to follow the guidelines, designated by his/her coordinator and administrator;

– Must be very responsible, self-driven and consistent in terms of Design related work;

– Be able to follow the Association’s rules and guidelines;

– Signing of a symbolic contract, where we provide all the informations related to the task at hand and the volunteer compromises to fulfil it (after 6 months he/she will get a certificate and be granted permission to use all the design work for the professional portfolio);

– Be proactive, persistent, reliable and inquisitive;

– Attend our staff meetings regularly and be diligent about your tasks;

Remuneration
